TCS Recruits American Technology Professionals

Phoenix - While other technology firms are "cutting back," TATA Consultancy Services continues to grow in the United States. This month, TCS achieved a company milestone by hiring its largest-ever cadre of new, American high-tech talent. TCS is based in India and has been expanding its U.S. operation, known as TCS America.

TCS has drawn up ambitious plans to recruit
and train U.S. University graduates in state-of-the-art technology. The
company has been taking part in career fairs throughout the United States and
sponsoring special international business seminars at some of the nation's
most prestigious universities, including Harvard Business School and the
University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
"Eleven new recruits may not
sound like a lot to many outsiders, but for TCS, this is a significant sign
that we're building up our presence in North America," said Gupta. "TCS has a
record of recruiting and training only the top graduates and post graduates
from the world's leading universities; plus only the finest of available
professional hires." Last month, 6,150 such professionals worldwide applied
to TCS for professional jobs. Of those, after TCS's rigorous testing regiment

The new recruits will take part in
a rigorous training program in Phoenix, AZ, near TCS' largest U.S.-based
offsite development center. The training program will includes courses in
Software Development Process, Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering,
Internet Technology, and Object Technology.
